Our multi-disciplinary teams have been offering industrial electrical services since 1982.
Furthermore we have had the privilege to work across industry sectors. This includes; automotive, chemical production, commercial buildings, schools and universities.
Our on-site facilities allow us to manufacture and supply orders both large and small for commercial use. From bespoke work to mass-production, we have the resources to satisfy your requirements.
Defence
We have a dedicated electrical and electronic repair team with over 35 years of experience in the manufacturing and repair of military equipment. As a result of this we worked on some of the most prestigious projects the Ministry of Defence have been involved in. Our team also have the ability to develop military prototypes and issue in-process CAD drawings to assist with the design process.
Industrial

Our long-standing relationships with leading UK rail and transport companies have given us an extensive knowledge of the unique challenges and requirements of this industry. Marine & Offshore
Our team of specialist engineers has provided subsea and offshore engineering solutions to the international market for use on commercial vessels, ocean-going yachts, specialist marine vessels and oil platforms. All of our electrical equipment can be supplied for use in hazardous areas, no matter how arduous the conditions.
Hazardous Area
We have a dedicated in-house ‘Ex’ product manufacturing team. We design; manufacture and supply an extensive range of ATEX certified control panels and distribution panels for use in gas and dust hazardous areas.
Education
Our team at R Baker (Electrical) Ltd work with educational facilities across the UK. We can assist you with the design, modification or even reverse engineer of educational equipment. This includes equipment for projects and on-site facilities.
Float Glass
Our understanding and experience of the glass sector allows us to modify designs to meet new and changing requirements that emerge, with the ability to develop prototypes and issue in-process CAD drawings to assist the design process.
Domestic
A fully trained, qualified and highly experienced engineer dealing with any domestic or commercial electrical testing. Fully compliant with all health & safety regulations when installing or repairing electrical systems, giving you complete peace of mind that all work will be conducted in a clean and safe manner.

Design
R Baker (Electrical) Ltd specialise in the design and manufacture of electrical equipment. Our design team have a wealth of experience with transformers, control units, electrical overhauls and motors.
Manufacture
All are electrical equipment is manufactured in the UK from our base in Liverpool. We us the highest of quality of materials and manufactured according to British and international standards.
Prototype
Our in-house team can create prototypes for any unique or new project. We have a wealth of experience working across all industries. Prototypes offer your team the opportunity to test designs and functionality.
Overhaul
With a wealth of experience our team offer a comprehensive electrical overhaul and repair service. This includes a full strip and survey service for defence equipment and managing the repair of obsolete items across all sectors.
After sales
All equipment manufactured by R Baker (Electrical) Ltd comes with a 12 month warranty. Our after sales can offer installation support and advice. R Baker (Electrical) Ltd are on hand from design through to maintenance and servicing.

What information is required for a quote?
What standards do we work to?
R Baker (Electrical) Ltd is ISO 9001 approved. This demonstrates our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet regulatory requirements and continuous improvement. We work with the all the leading testing/standard authorities in the UK. This can include; DNV, BSI, Lloyds, Nemko, NSN and VDE. Delivering the highest quality driven service is our priority. We therefore encourage assessment from national and international bodies.
Do you offer advice?
R Baker (Electrical) Ltd support customers from across all industry sectors; including hazardous area; offshore and defence. We offer free technical advice regardless of if you are a customer or not. Our team want to be your first point of call for all your technical advice.
Do you carry out urgent rewinds?
We rewind transformers damaged up to 500kVA. Our technical team also reverse engineer damaged transformers. This means we can manufacture new transformers which are past being rewound. Our transformer rewind service is available 7 days a week on request.
What is the standard lead time?
Lead times vary depending on your requirements and access to materials. Transformers are normally on a 3 week lead time. however overhauls and control units can take 2/3 months depending on the equipment. Our manufacturing capabilities allow us to turn orders around in 4/5 days if needed. So please talk to our team for more information.
